The Stealth is one of AGV’s newest helmets and it offers a lot of high-end features at a very good price. AGV focuses their marketing efforts on the TiTech and therefore most people overlook the Stealth. After evaluating the Stealth, we feel it is one of the best values available.
Shape
In our testing, we found the Stealth to be one of AGV’s best fitting models. AGV has continued the trend of offering their newer models in more neutral headshapes. In the past, all AGV’s were very round and only fit a small percentage of riders, but that has changed. All of our helmet testers were able to fit comfortably into the Stealth. The Stealth’s liner is fully removable which allows for easy cleaning. The cheek pads are also available in different thicknesses for customizing the fit of the helmet.
Ventilation
The Stealth impressed many of our testers during the evaluation process. A few of the testers said the Stealth vented just as good as the TiTech, which puts it in good company. Air flows freely through the helmet and did a good job of keeping our testers cool.
Weight
The Stealth weighs in at 3lbs 8.6oz in size Large, which means it is slightly lighter than the TiTech. The helmet feels light when you hold it in your hands, and it feels even lighter while riding. AGV did a good job with the aerodynamics which help the helmet to feel so balanced while riding. Consult the Helmet Harbor's Weight Chart to see how the Stealth stacks up.
Quality
The overall quality of the build seems very good. It is every bit as good as the TiTech. The paint finish is very good and the attention to detail great. The paint detail on the graphic models are top notch and get a lot of attention.
Visor System
The Stealth uses the same great visor removal system as the TiTech. You do not need any tools to swap visors. Visor swaps only take about 10 seconds and we really like that the system has no moving parts to break. AGV also offers a wide variety of optional visors to give your Stealth the look you are after.
Conclusion
We like the Stealth. We know it doesn’t have titanium vents on it, but we would say it is definitely in the same class as the more expensive TiTech. We liked the interior and found it to be very comfortable. The venting is well above average and impressed several of our testers. The weight is low and the helmet performs well at very high speed, We feel the Stealth makes a great helmet whether you ride the street or the track.
