The AGV Sport Stinger leather jacket brings the protection of a leather jacket at a very affordable price. Just because the price is low doesn't mean the quality follows. The AGV Stinger features double and triple stitched seams to ensure the jacket will provide more than enough protection if it finds itself sliding down the pavement. AGV uses premium 1.4-1.5mm leather, which is standard with most racesuits, so you'll be protected. And speaking of protection, the AGV Sport Stinger leather jacket uses dual density protective armor in the elbows and shoulders.
The AGV Sport Stinger is very comfortable to wear. We would describe it as a "relaxed race fit". It is more comfortable to wear than a lot of jackets that are more race-oriented. The arms are pre-curved, but just not to the same extent as some other models out there. The sizing seams to run true to size.
The jacket is not perforated so it might not be the best choice for a summer jacket, but it does come with user controllable vents that do allow air to vent thru the jacket. The Stinger also has a removable liner that looks like it will provide some warmth for colder days. The comfortable temperature range for the Stinger is probably somewhere between 45-85 in our opinion. Of course everyone has different tolerances, so that doesn't mean you couldn't wear it with a few layers into colder weather.
Other notable features include adjustable wrist closures via zipper and Velcro. There is also a full circumference zipper for attaching pants as well. Outside of the AGV Sport reflective logo's, the jacket is pretty low key compared to a lot of leather jackets... and we like it that way. Sometimes you just want a jacket that doesn't scream, "Hey, look at me!!!"
The AGV Sport Stinger is a nice looking jacket with good quality construction. It has all the protection you need as well as extra features to increase its flexibility for things like track riding with the addition of leather pants. We like the Stinger jacket and feel it is a good choice and the low price makes it an even better value.
