H20 Tec's In-Depth
To make the H2O-Tec gloves completely waterproof, a Hipora® membrane lines all components that actually touch the rider's skin. All seams are heat-sealed to finish the waterproofing, leaving you with dry hands, yet allowing your skin to breathe, thanks to the micro-porous nature of the Hipora® membrane. Unlike other waterproof gloves, the waterproof membrane will not separate or pull out with your fingers when removing the gloves. The snap wrist closure allows for an adjustable fit around the wrists while the large gauntlet will easily fit over your jacket and rain gear.
The H2O-Tec gloves would't be a ROADGEAR product if they didn't offer crash protection, too. For abrasion resistance, the palm area is constructed of top-quality cowhide. In addition to the extra layer of leather lining the index finger and thumb, the thumb also receives a rubberized coating (think sticky race tires) for improved grip in wet or dry conditions. The fourchette designed fingers are stitched internally in four locations for abrasion resistance yet supple lever control. The back of the knuckles is constructed of Dynatec®, which is known for its comfortable fit, abrasion protection, and, most importantly, nighttime reflectivity. Rounding out the H2O-Tec's materials is a lightweight textile for warm weather comfort.
