With retro all the craze, Shoei's ST-CRUZ is for the cruiser class.  The removable neck curtain, reminiscent of the "old" days, zippers into the interior lining for versatile looks and protection.  Now you can complete the classic custom look with a helmet that provides the look as well as DOT safety standards.

The Shoei ST-Cruz is an interesting helmet in our opinion.  We struggle with this model and here are a few reasons.

First off, it is a Shoei helmet and the name alone screams quality; the ST-Cruz is no exception in that department.  It is a solid, well-built helmet and many folks love this model.  It has a very soft liner, the weight is about the same as many other high quality competitors.  It has the features but where we feel it falls short is the price.  As much as we love Shoei helmets, we feel there are just better options for the money. 

Also, it is a helmet that seems to be returned quite often as compared to others.  The main reason seems to be with the fit.  Half helmets are some of the tougher models to get a "good fit" with.  Many folks say that it feels too round and it doesn't feel planted on their heads.  Our reccommendation is to try and find the Shoei St-Cruz  before ordering to and see if you like the fit.  Our experience doesn't mean you can't or won't get the proper fit or that you will not love it.  It is just our experience and we want to make sure our customers have all the information before blindly ordering.  A great alternative would be the HJC AC-2 or the HJC CL-21.  It does evrything and more for almost half the price.  We'd recommend checking out both models if you are in the market for a high-quality half helmet.
